White Feather Films and Hansal Mehta, when these two are gonna merge for a film then what could you expect? Obviously a movie on an off beat theme. That is exactly what Woodstock Villa offers.
Bollywood movies are tries to enter in Hardcore Thriller phase. First Abbas-Mustan’s “Race” and then “Woodstock Villa”. If you are quite fond of typical thriller, then Woodstock Villa is the movie for you and frankly it’s not a movie of everybody’s bowl.
Let’s come to the story at first.

Arbaaz Khan, a successful businessman, whose wife[Neha Uberoi] was kidnapped on one night and the captor[Sikandar] demands a large rescue money. But the story twisted when Neha was murdered. Sikandar buried her body but this is not the end. It’s only the starts and the film will answer you the remain.
As I told you earlier this is a hardcore thriller, so you can expect turn and twist every now and then. Though some sequences may be predictable but most of them left you perplexed.
But in any thriller the climax should be stunning and Woodstock Villa fails to deliver its promises here. Probably you can guess whats gonna happen next?
Screenplay by Sanjay Gupta, Rajiv Gopal and S. Farhan are flawless, Vikash Nowlakha's cinematography and Milap Zaveri’s dialogues are topnotch. Amar Mohile background score is fantastic.
Performance wise Sikandar is superb. Sikandar has screen presence and above all a talented actor. An actor to watch. Neha Uberoi, through the trailor you have already guess this alluring leading lady’s appeals and after watching the movie you can guess her acting capability. Fantastic. Arbaaz Khan is ok. Others are wasted.
Director Hansal Mehta is in form this time. Though it’s not his best work, its still Chaal, but it’s among his finest.
All over Woodstock Villa is a decent movie and specially recommended for hardcore thriller lover. Due of weak publicity and IPL semifinals and final, the box-office window not seems to be helpful for producers.
Critics Rating: ** ½ [Out of Five]
