Bollywood shadowed with sadness these days, otherwise why would electrifying performers like Ajay Devgan and Aamir Khan Will brought some sensitive issues for their debut directional ventures. Where Aamir chose the subject like dyslexia affected child, there Ajay celebrated the triumph of love over Alzheimer and truly speaking he rocks.

U me aur Hum is the movie of Ajay [played by Ajay Devgan] and Pia [played by Kajol], who met in a cruise. Ajay is a renowned psychiatrist and Pia is bar tender. Ajay falls in love with Pia at first sight, while Pia served drinks to him. After the worst first impression Ajay tried to make his place in Pia’s heart and succeeded at last and got happily married. But every relationship has to go through its testing time.

Ajay and Pia’s marriage got into trouble when in a Rainy day Pia forgot her address. Doctor diagnosis suggests Alzheimer and restrained her in hospital. Now would their marriage survive in this situation? Will they face this testing time? This is all what U me aur Hum about.

The first half of the movie has nothing new to offer to the viewers. Have some funny moments, some sparkling look, some subtle dialogue that’s it, and you must thought at this very moment this movie is going to be very average. But U Me aur Hum changes it gear at the post interval section. Hats off to Ajay for the kind of sensible treatment he made to the movie in the second half. Absolutely superb.

Vishal Vardwaj’s music is good. “Jee Le” and the “U Me aur Hum” title track are wonderful. Aseem Bajaj’s cinematography is topnotch. Some eye soothing looks can show this man’s talent to you. Screenplay is great, especially in the second half. It may remind you James Garner, Rachel McAdams starrer “Notebook” to some extent.

Now the performances, what you can say about actors like Ajay Devgan and Kajol. They don’t need to prove their acting capabilities but this time they are exceptional. Superb performances. Their on screen chemistry is electrifying till now. Other actors like Divya Dutta, Sachin Khadekar etc. have done justice to their character.

Now the director, U me aur hum is undoubtedly a director’s movie. You won’t going to believe that it’s Ajay’s directional debut.  So mature treatment. He makes the movie with so care that you can see that in almost every scene, especially in the second half. One more thing I must mention, the use of Spanish tune throughout. Simply awesome.

On the whole U Me aur Hum is a very well made movie. Go with your family and enjoy every moment. The movie is especially for all of us, as we all are in relationship. Watch the movie to fall in love with your love again.
