Couple of stories running parallel and ends with each other by finding out some similar connections, have been shown many times on bollywood silver screen. Sirf walks in the same path as before and mainly inspired from yesteryear superhit "Life in a Metro", directed by talented Anurag Basu.

Though sirf has something to give to the spectators. No, it's not anything you expect from storyline, its the power packed performances from the actors of the movie. Now let’s highlight the story. Sirf is a story of four couples Ranveer-Sonali, K.K-Manisha, Praveen-Rituparna and Ankur-Nauheed, who are running through their own problems in their married and love life. Some of them have lost trust, some of them are on the verge of divorce, some of them trying to find a financial stability for their marriage, and some of them seeking time for each other. As the movie proceeds they find themselves crossing each other’s path and finally the movie concludes by the breaking and making out their thought.
Actually the film has quite interesting first hour, but the second half is dragged and in some places repeats itself. You will be surprised by the conclusion of those characters at climax.
Director Rajaatesh Nayar has handled some sequences with intense care, but all goes in hell due to weak script. Cinematography [Baba Azmi] is good. Though the movie has hardly scope for music, still the music is just ok.
The only thing in the movie that can be watched is the performances. Sonali Kulkarni is fabulous, Rituparna is good, Ranveer is natural as always, KK is simply wasted.
On the whole Sirf is a weak fare with some good performances. The lack of publicity and the simultaneous releasing of Tashan, will affect the film business certainly.
Critics Rating: * 1/2 [Out of Five]
