Sequels in Bollywood aren’t very popular like Hollywood flicks. Most of the times they fail for unable to overcome the shadows of prequel and the job became tougher when the prequel is critically acclaimed and as well as a box-office blockbuster. Now the question is, is Sarkar Raj able to running out of the shadow of Sarkar?

The answer is YES. Sarkar Raj stands out all the way. Ramgopal Verma’s previous venture RGV ki AAG, was a big disaster, which threw Ramu in front of all dull critical comments. But Ramu shows all he isn’t finished yet. He has much more to deliver to Bollywood.

Now come to the business. Let’s start with the story.

CEO of Sheppard Power Plant, Anita [played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan] came to Sarkar to start a power plant project for the rural area of Maharashtra. Sankar [played by Abhishek Bachchan] was quick to realize the benefit of the power plant to those areas.

After a bit of hesitation from Sarkar [played by Big B], Sankar and Anita start the project, visit the rural areas and convinced the masses for their support. But things were not so easy as they looked. This project certainly caught the eyes of the political leaders and they seem to show their interest in it, which let the project become a political stage.

Now what happens next? You have to watch the movie for the answers.

Sarkar Raj is one of the finest craft of RGV along with Satya, Company etc. It has some moments which left you spellbound. Like

·         Aish’s first visit to Nagre.

·         Govind Namdeo tried to induce Sankar.

·         And the most awaited climax.

There are many more.

Now let’s talk about the technical cast and crew of the movie.

The journey of Sarkar Raj didn’t become easier if the script was weak, but thanks to Prashant Pandey’s flawless script which made the movie a spectacle to watch. Amit Roy’s cinematography is top notch. Amar Mohile’s background score need to be mentioned.

Performances

What can you say about the performances? The movie has already a performance powerhouse and as it expected it’s at their best.

Let’s start with Amitabh Bachchan as Sarkar. In the prequel we have already seen the actor as Subhas Nagre which has already became a legend and in Sarkar Raj the legend continue to flourish. The greatest actor of all time. Hats off to you.

Yuva, Sarkar, Guru and now Sarkar Raj, through this journey the actor show his maturity. Abhishek sparks in almost every scene.

This is Aishwarya’s best performance so far. Though she has already done some brilliant performances in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Guru, Provoked and many others but this one is different.

Others actors like Dilip Prabhawalkar, Govind Namdeo, Sayaji Sindhe, Supriya Pathak and Tanisha did justice to their characters.

Direction

RamGopal Verma is in form again. He proves that his previous ventures didn’t ruin his capability. He’s one of the finest directors of the Bollywood. Welcome back.

On the whole Sarkar Raj is a great work of movie. On the box office it already opened with full houses and the brilliant performances and the movie itself set the screen ablaze. Great.
